2023 Subaru Impreza Hatchback Specs, Colors, Release Date – There are at least a few other reasons to have a look at the company’s smallest offering, even though the 2023 Subaru Impreza is advertised as the most affordable all-wheel-drive vehicle in Canada.
It’s available as a four-door sedan, but I had the five-door, more commonly called a hatchback. The 2023 model pretty much bears around from last year, besides the base Efficiency clip gets intelligent headlights and halogen fog lighting fixtures, and the Touring gets warmed controls.
Pricing starts off at $22,670 for this particular hatch out; the sedan is $1,000 cheaper and commences at $21,670. The Comfort, Visiting, and Sport all get a several-rate manual transmission to begin, although an automatic consistently factor transmission (CVT) may be optioned. Do that, and you get the brand’s camera-based package of superior safety technologies. I had the top-rated-level Sport-technology, which comes just with CVT which safety collection, for $33,470 just before taxation.
2023 Subaru Impreza Hatchback Design
I’ve generally appreciated the appearance of the lengthier nose and quicker rump of a hatchback, and the Impreza is a crisply designed model of it. I love the body line that contours down on the top door and then sweeps approximately the rear, tying the go- and taillights together. The Sport-tech package adds 18-” alloy tires, which calculate 16 and 17 ins on reduce trims (the base model includes steelies and plastic-type tire covers). My tester’s layer of Seas Blue Pearl paint set them back beautifully, as well.
The interior is come up with handsomely as effectively, with easy, uncomplicated manages. The metal toned and compare sewing are special to the Sport-technology, as is the natural leather upholstery, while the two the Sport and Sport-technology get aluminum pedals.
2023 Subaru Impreza Hatchback Interior and Features
Regardless of its smaller sized dimension, the Impreza is spacious, both for front side- and 2nd-row passengers for legroom and headroom. The front seats are well-sculpted and accommodating, although the rear chairs are nicely padded, and not as hard and flat as some could be in a manufacturer’s entry-stage model.
The heated seats have high and low options and are quickly managed with buttons on the center gaming console. There is a heated control – my new preferred feature – on all but the base Efficiency trim, and it’s also button-run, tucked in at the underside of the steering wheel.
Equally the hatchback and sedan are loaded in the same way by cut. The base models include air cooling, automatic headlight, heated-up wall mirrors, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, vacation cruise control, 60/40 folding rear seats, touchscreen infotainment, and a rear-seat reminder, although auto-equipped models include individuals safety products.
2023 Subaru Impreza Hatchback Engine
It doesn’t have the juice to back that up, even though the Impreza may look sports-minded. It’s powered by a horizontally compared 4-cylinder engine that makes 152 horsepower and 145 lb-feet of torque, and that is not really a whole lot in the actual. The CVT further heightens one’s impression of the deficiency of urgency, and transmission and engine drone when they’re required to conduct with a bulkier appropriate ft.
Even so, this should not be a dealbreaker; this Impreza is not a WRX and does not make-believe to be. Acceleration is smooth and linear from a stop, and it will keep up to date at highway rates of speed. It’s a daily commuter car, not a hot hatch.
2023 Subaru Impreza Hatchback Price
That doesn’t include the $1,675 Subaru charges for freight, bringing the price to $22,670, although the Impreza hatchback starts at $20,995. At the other end, my leading-of-the-line Sport-technology rang in at $31,795, or $33,470 with freight before tax. The only accessible add-ons are components, these kinds of bicycle companies, or splash guards. As opposed to with numerous automakers, there is no more fee for shade. On a number of vehicles, my car’s vision-capturing blue might have extra a handful of hundred or so $ $ $ $. [The teal-like color is, however, only at the leading trim on the hatchback; it cannot be possessed on any other setup. – Ed.]
If not spectacular, given that all-wheel-drive platform under it, while it could use a bit more power, and some compacts throw in extra niceties like heated rear seats, my tester’s price was reasonable. About the only close-up, the opponent is the Mazda3 Sport (hatchback) with optionally available all-wheel drive, but it is significantly more potent, and varieties from $27,500 to $37,100.
